HCGLC February 2013 Newsletter

Fellow Crusaders,

Hopefully those residing in winter climes will be graced with an early spring and an opportunity to chase the little white ball around the links and then join in to witness the pigskin flying through the air during spring ball atop Mount Saint James.

Between now and then, I welcome sharing with you the following news:

1. THANK YOU to those alums who have been actively involved in mentoring our current Crusaders, and also helping them in finding internships and full-time employment. I have forwarded great leads to the team through the HC Football office. If you have internship and/or employment opportunities within your place of business or knowledge of the same, please share it with me so I can pass it along. The essence of our family is that we "take care of our own.

Major props to Mark Cannon '77, Pete Mondani '79, Matt Kay '01, Brian Cullinan '03, Doug Pietrick '83, and Greg Draddy '93 for their help on these fronts. Well done, gentlemen. To all the members of our extended family, please make this part of our effort a priority. This is "how we win off the field."

2. Break out your calendars right now and make a point to join us atop Mt. Saint James for the following CAN"T MISS events:

>>Spring Game/Barbecue/Team Luncheon - April 13 (due the the blizzard a few weeks back, the 2012 team luncheon was derailed and will be blended into this day):
- Dan Adams has done an unbelievable job preparing for the Alumni Game, aka 2013 Battle For The Ages....always a great take with plenty of added extras to make this year the best yet...For all the details including a current alumni roster, access that link.

-For those so inspired, strap the pads back on and and show your kids and better halves that "I'm not kidding you, I could play."

-Come see who will be awarded the 2013 Jackie Mo' Lifetime Achievement Award.

-Welcome many members of the Class of 2017 to the family.

>>Golf - May 31st, Blackstone National in Sutton, MA (more details to follow)
We had a great turnout last year and expect an even bigger turnout this year. Classes of '88, 93, 98, 03, and '08 should be well represented so "round 'em up."

3. Let's roll out the Purple carpet and welcome the following future Crusaders of the Class of 2017 to the Holy Cross Football Family:
